The employment of minors in Brazil

Maria Amélia Marcondes Cuopertio

Centre for ubli Policy Studies (NEPP), Campinas State University, Sao Paulo Brazil.

The employment of minors in Brazil considers the employment of children in that country. Despite only limited sources of data, a number of different aspects are examined: the salary earned by these children and its importance in family income; the extent to which child workers are "registered" and what the implications of this might be; and the relationship between education and employment.
