Martha Schteingart

El Colegio de México, A.C., Camino al Ajusco No 20, Código Postal 01000, México D.F.

The environmental problems associated with urban development in Mexico City describes and explains the growth of the City into the world's largest metropolis. It also describes environmental problems: shelter and services; transport; biological and environmental degradation; air pollution; and water problems. The final sections examine government responses and consider the city's future.
